Should you use the same brand of cable throughout your whole guitar rig?
I recently got two Monster Prolink cables as a birthday gift from my Uncle, and they're pretty good. Nice and durable, and I can definitely tell a clarity difference with an A and B test. Before that, I used one livewire, and one planet waves, which made me feel kind of uncomfortable about my rig. Now, I have the two monster cables, but my patch cables for my pedal board are Fender Koil Kords, which I love, but would getting Monster patch cables for my pedal board be better to do to keep it consistent? That's what people tell me. Or would just keeping the Fender Koil Kords Patch Cables be fine?
Hey,
If it sound good as it is then Just leave it i say, you could shell out more money on some monster cables or use your fender's until they give in. I currently use a fender cable and its lasted me just around 2 years and no signs of it giving up yet! Trust your ear if it sounds good as it is leave it.
