Going deaf and play in a band -consider ear plugs
You glanced at the title and thought 'the music i love is suppose to be loud enough to make me deaf anyway! of course heavy metal needs to be turned up to eleven so your neighbours can share in the experience. But, why cant we have it loud and protect our hearing? Without ear plugs, it will mean that by the time were becoming thirty and forty we will be loosing our hearing. Itd be nice to retain my hearing so that when i get old i can still listen to it and play it. 'What? thats not a very rock attitude at all' -neithers not being able to hear the music you love, or being able to talk to people. So many people i know have lost alot of hearing in one of their ears, so what will happen when they finally go deaf- A hearing aid will then be their only option. We've all lost some hearing -mine isnt perfect after years of subjecting it to Kataklysm and My dying bride.
Many performers are using ear plugs anyway, half the time their hair is hiding the earplugs from view - so if they can protect their hearing why cant you? Everyone else can go deaf in five or ten years time if they want -but you can make the desicion not too. And if you want a career in music the more you look after your hearing the longer you actually get to play it- because its quite hard to continue once your deaf -ask Beethoven.
Your fans dont know youll be using earplugs at rehearsals anyway? The other three, four or five members of your band, who are probably using ear plugs to. Seems more than just you are worried about hearing loss- plus itll only take a minute to put them in.
Plus its another reason to turn up the volume isnt it? Need some hearing protection or digital hearing aids
How do i put the elasticey silicone ear plugs in my ears when swimming ?
Hi, i brought some ear plugs for swimming and their the elastically silicone ones. I spent ages trying to put them in my ear but they kept coming out. I was wondering how you put them in properly so they don't fall out ?. Do you have to attach them to your googles ?. And how far do you push them into your ears ?
They are either too big or too small. Try another brand or a different size, and then they will probably fit better!
