Ok, so im planning on turning a relatively large bedroom into an acoustic recording studio. Im a complete beginner to all of this, although i have played music for several years. Im still learning and reading up on recording. I have a very limited budget and have found some decent equipment:

What else exactly do i need to make a decent acoustic recording setup? I know i need a computer with a sound card, some cables and i need to make the room good with sound, but please can someone tell me exactly what i should do step by step or send me a link to a very good, easy to understand site. thanks

So it sounds like you want to be able to record your acoustic guitar and maybe some vocals here?
Why are you looking at a stand alone Mixer? I ask this because that mixer has no capability of recording. It doesn't have a USB or Firewire. And I know you are on a tight budget....but Behringer is terrible. But also I just don't see why you would want to purchase a stand-alone mixer. A mixer like that would benefit you for a live show / concert with multiple inputs being plugged in. But....not for any kind of studio.
Shure SM57 - as the guy earlier pointed out. This is an instrument microphone. Vocals will not sound good hear. So you are going to have to make a choice on what you are wanting to do. If you want to sing and play guitar and can only afford one mic, then you'll have to get something that will work for both. If you can get two mics, then get that SM57 with maybe a cheaper condenser vocal microphone.
You do not need a computer with a sound card. Almost all recording equipment does not use your sound card on your computer. Quite simply because normal sound cards on computers are not meant for live signals.
Here is what I recommend:
1) You need to get a recording device. Best way to go would be a Mixer with USB / Firewire capability. The Mackie Onyx-I is just simply awesome. However probably out of your price range.

If you need something a little cheaper, then you can go with a Audio Interface with USB / Firewire. There are a ton out there and everyone has their own preferences. But something like this would work too:

2) Microphones - like i said you need to either get a versatile microphone that can do vocals and instruments. Or get two different microphones. The SM57 is a fine instrument mic, but is not a vocal mic. There are quite a few options for vocal condenser microphones for under $150. But without knowing what you are doing, I'm not going to list out a bunch of options.
3) Playback - You are going to need something to listen to what you are recording when you are recording and what your recording sounds like when you are mixing, editing, mastering. Headphones are the cheapest and easiest solution and are also essential for recording vocals. Monitors are simiply awesome to have for mixing and playback. But you can get away with headphones for a long time if your budget limits you to that.
Conclusion: What this setup does, is give you the ability to record to you computer. A stand-alone mixer like the Behringer you listed has no way to get that signal to your computer. So with a Digital Mixer or Audio Interface, plus the microphones, and a set of headphones, then you are good to go. Also on a very important note: Any Digital Mixer or Audio Interface you purchase it will come bundled with recording software. Most of the time Pro Tools, Cubase, or Tracktion. You will need some recording software to be able to record tracks, edit, mix, master, etc.
