Looking Into The Perfect Male Cable Channel
There are currently some networks that are made especially for males. However, they may still lack things could make them perfect. Would you like to see the perfect cable channel for men? It may be impossible to come up with a male channel with no flaws. It would depend on opinions of viewers. However, it costs nothing to take a break and dream about it.
Television commercial time has gotten out of control. It is almost impossible to concentrate on something with constant interruptions. It makes watching a sporting event, a chore instead of a pleasure. Often times, commercials must be sold. However they can be selective about the content. Some ads like wedding bands for men may be inappropriate, for example. There is a place and time for that.
Thirty seconds is the longest that any TV commercial break should last. The average male attention span is similar to that. When a man sits through endless commercials, he becomes numb. He cannot enjoy the show he is watching. He may forget much about the show, also.
Commercials may be a necessary evil. However, they can be more closely monitored. One five minute string of commercials should be allowed, each day. The average woman can use her Hoover Windtunnel bagged vacuum in that amount of time. This will insure proper cleaning of the living room. Weekends should merit special attention. Many males increase their fluid intake during weekends. They will need a four minute break between programs.
Sport shows should also be restricted. No golf please. There is a channel solely devoted to that sport. It is not a bad sport to play. However, it can be excruciating for many people to have to sit through. Poker shows should only be allowed once a day. They are entertaining, but not for endless hours. Only major sports should be allowed. If they are unavailable, show games from the past. Remember the male attention span. It will be like watching a new game.
All movies need to be closely monitored. This includes Space action movies and spy films. Programmers are under the misconception that all males like these movies. This is not the case. When these movies become marathons, it should be considered cruel and unusual punishment. There is also no place for porn movies. Most men like them. However, it is too easy for young people to watch cable movies.

The perfect male cable channel will have severe restrictions on commercials. It will also feature a limited amount of boring programs. This may greatly improve viewing for the average male. They can sit in their chair, under blankets, and enjoy their televisions. You can design the perfect TV channel for men. Unfortunately, it will only be in your mind.

There's a song playing in a general Science Channel commercial that I'd like to know about - Song Title? Artist? Vocal has almost a "yodel" effect. Can't recall any lyrics.
There are repeated images of Michio Kaku during the commercial and the commercial began running sometime in the 4th Qtr of '09. That's all I've got.
